“There is no point of free water if it is not clean, supply is erratic and people ultimately have to buy it from outside,” he stated.
Tiwari sits with resident welfare associations, residents of city villages, and elected councillors or MLAs and different officers to know and redress water issues in every locality.
He stated that the record of area-wise water complaints could be despatched to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Lots of people are affected by water points and the Delhi Jal Board ought to look into their grievances, he stated.
Delhi Jal Board vice-chairperson Raghav Chaddha had earlier attributed the water woes to Haryana releasing much less river water than regular.
