NCC cadets from Gujarat have ready 30,000 playing cards highlighting the sacrifice and valour of armed forces which had been dispatched on Saturday to Kargil district in Jammu and Kashmir forward of the twenty second anniversary of the Kargil Vijay Diwas to be noticed on July 26.
As a part of the ”Ek Mai Sau Ke Liye” marketing campaign noticed from July 4 to fifteen, cadets from Gujarat ready 30,000 playing cards and likewise posted messages on social media highlighting the sacrifices and valour of the Indian Armed Forces, the Nationwide Cadet Corps (NCC) mentioned in a launch. The occasion is a part of the marketing campaign’s fifth section titled “Kargil Ke Veeron Ko Gujarat Ka Aabhaar”.
“These cards are also a medium for these young cadets to honour the memory of the martyrs and the Armed Forces personnel who are guarding the national borders round-the-clock under adverse conditions,” the NCC mentioned.
These playing cards had been dispatched within the presence of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani from Gandhinagar.
These playing cards are anticipated to be ceremoniously obtained by the Basic Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Udhampur-based Northern Command, Lieutenant Basic YK Joshi, who was then a Lieutenant Colonel within the Kargil struggle and was awarded Vir Chakra, the NCC mentioned.
Between July 21 to 25, these playing cards might be handed over to the troopers deployed within the Kargil sector, as a mark of gratitude from the cadets of Gujarat, it mentioned.
Kargil struggle was fought between India and Pakistan between Could and July 1999 within the Kargil district of Kashmir and alongside the Line of Management.
